Extra virgin olive oil biscuits

I am passionate about cooking but above all about oils, from organic to evo up to flavored.

I think that using quality oils in the kitchen gives an edge to every dish that you cook.

But let’s start with the second recipe of the week!

Today I propose an easy and quick recipe but of great taste:


The recipe for our biscuits it needs a few simple ingredients but it is essential that they are the right ones. Starting from the freshest eggs, up to the ingredient that characterizes the recipe: Marchesi Gallo extra virgin olive oil

Here’s the recipe:
Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes
Course: Dessert
Servings: 4 people

200g flour 00
80g sugar
1 egg
90g Marchesi Gallo extra virgin olive oil
1 lemon
1/2 sachet instant yeast for biscuits
a pinch of salt
icing sugar to taste

Beat the sugar with the egg in a bowl until the mixture is thick and clear.
Add the Marchesi Gallo extra virgin olive oil drizzle and lemon juice, continuing to beat.
Combine the sifted flour and baking powder.
Mix everything with a pastry spatula, moving from the bottom to high and add a pinch of salt.
Once the mixture is smooth and homogeneous, take it a little at a time with a spoon and pour onto a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
Bake at 180 degrees to 15 minutes (they will be ready when they start to darken)
Once baked, leave to cool and sprinkle with icing sugar if desired.
